Cancer does not discriminate

My daughter went to school this morning like any other normal day but today the morning news was very sad.  A first grade boy lost his battle with cancer over the weekend.  Raigan didn’t know this young boy and I don’t know if she ever saw him in school but the news was very sad. 

This young boy only 7 years old had so much more to do in life.  I will never understand the great losses that families feel every day to cancer. 

Cancer does not discriminate; it takes the young, old and everything in the middle. 

My heart is very heavy for the family of this young boy especially as the holidays approach.  I hope the family can find their “New Normal” as they go through the emotions of grief…
